solving for y for function

Greetings everyone! I have a severe problem about algebra and I was wondering if someone might be able to help me out in some way . I have a algebra test in a few weeks and even though I have been studying math seriously, there are still a few parts that cause a lot of headache , such as solving for y for function and geometry especially. Last week I had a meeting with a math teacher, but many things still remain unclear to me. Can you propose a good method of studying or a good private teacher that you know already?

Aaah May God save us students from the evil of solving for y for function. I used to face same problems that you do when I was there. I always used to be confused in Intermediate algebra, Algebra 1 and Remedial Algebra. I was worst in solving for y for function until I came to know of Algebrator. It is really effective and I would surely recommend it. The best part of the software is that it will also help you learn algebra and not just narrate your answers. I can confirm that. Algebrator is the numero Uno piece of software for solving math homework. Been using it for a while now and it keeps on amazing me. Every problem that I type in, Algebrator gives me a correct answer to it. I have never enjoyed learning algebra homework on radicals, adding exponents and perfect square trinomial so much before. I would recommend it for sure.
